Jason Line Wins the Spring Nationals

A couple of weeks ago our Summit Racing Team came to visit for our Racing Appreciation Day.  We had a great time with the drivers of our Pro Stock Camaros.  

Yesterday Jason Line won the NHRA Pro Stock division at the Spring Nationals in his Summit Racing Chevy Camaro. He posted a 6.589 for a 211.99 mph win.  He's had a tough time this year but the tables have turned and we look forward to more wins this year!

Follow-up on Jason Line - Las Vegas Nationals

Our very own Jason Line of Summit Racing (we are one of the sponsors) did us proud last weekend at the Las Vegas Nationals!  He turned in a 6.692 @ 207.27 mph to make it to the Quarter Finals in Pro Stock!

Way to go Jason!

Racing Appreciation Day was Fantastic!

The turnout for our Racing Appreciation Day was great and the cars were hot!  The drivers did interviews and besides the 2 Camaros we had HTown Racing's car, a nitro fuel funny car, of course our own Dawson Racing's dragster, a 1952 3100 truck that was really sweet, and assorted other classics. Racing Appreciation Day at Findlay Chevrolet

We are so excited that it is finally here. Racing Appreciation Day! It's the day before the Nationals start at the Speedway. Tomorrow night - Wednesday the 3rd - and it's going to be a roaring good time!

Greg Anderson and Jason Line with Summit Racing are going to be here with their NHRA 2014 Camaro. Dawson Racing will be here with their dragster. HTown Racing is also going to be here - along with a surprise guest.  The adrenaline!!

Having fun at the dragstrip!

In 2 days the Camaro NHRA-certified rolling chassis designed for drag racing will become available. At noon EST consumers will be able to call 1-800-306-3005 to get a purchase certificate - there will be only a limited number produced - and bring that certificate to us to complete the sale. Each Camaro will be fitted with an NHRA approved roll cage and other safety equipment, along with NHRA approved racing chassis and suspension components and Bogart racing wheels mounted on Hoosier tires.

Each specially numbered chassis is assembled by had at the same facility that constructs Chevy's COPO Camaro production race cars and will only be made in Summit White with a production Camaro hood and SS grille, racing seats, racing switch panel (plus other equipment) so the racer doesn't have to start from scratch. 

And speaking about racing, The Summit Racing Team will be here on April 3rd with one of their NHRA Camaros.  The Nationals are held in Las Vegas starting on April 5th. We are very excited to have the Team here. More info as we get closer to the Day!
